How do I use a column of a table inside a section?

I wanted to do a validation expression where I sum a column of a table that is part of a multi-instance section from above that section. I tried a few expressions:

Property_Total=Product_Section.Transaction.SumOf("Owner_Value")
Results in:

I think I know what is going on here, but can you also include a screenshot of the hierarchy of your model? That will be key in determining what expression syntax will work, and I want to make sure I understand the overall structure.
