Transferring 2.7 batches to 2.6 repository

We have several hundred batches in Grooper ready to transfer to a client's Grooper environment via CMIS, but Josh Miller let me know this morning that they are actually running Grooper 2.6. Evidently they had so many compatibility issues with Azure that our Support Services team put them back on 2.6, which the client was more familiar with anyway.
In order to transfer these batches to the client, do we have any option other than setting up a new 2.7 environment for them? As far as I'm aware, 2.6 and 2.7 batches are fundamentally different, but we want to make sure we know all the available options on the table first.

There is not a direct path for downgrading objects to be compatible with an earlier version of Grooper. The only option that can be supported is an upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 on the client's environment. All other options would essentially be writing custom code to manipulate a whole series of objects.6
