Resetting batches

tgarnetttgarnett Posts: 76 ✭✭✭
When I am dealing with a batch that has errors on a certain step, is there a way i can reset just the errors so i am not having to rerun that entire step again? Also, when batches do error out and we have corrected the errors, is there a way to manually move it to another step in the process?

Good question And there are several ways to accomplish this.

If your goal is to reset all tasks in an error state for a batch or a collection of batches, just select the batches in dashboard (or admin), pause them, and choose Batch -> Reset -> Previous Tasks. On the popup window, you can choose only tasks in an error state, or you can select all tasks.

There is also a way to reset individual tasks for a given batch. Select the batch in Dashboard and go to the Tasks tab. From here, you can toggle which tasks you'd like to view... Ready, Completed, Working, Errors, or All Tasks. Once you get the error tasks in view, you can select a task, right click on it, and choose Delete Tasks. This WILL NOT delete the image or folder associate with the task. It is simply a way to delete that task from the tasks table in the database. Once it is cleared, you can pause and resume the batch and a new task will be added.
