One of the Content Format options is "Custom".
I am unclear on how to use the parameter "Filename".
The documentation says "When the Content Format is set to 'Custom' specifies the name of the custom file to export." I tried putting a local file name that exists on the Grooper server, but that does not seem to work. How it is used?

I then double-checked that the path is valid and correctly formed by typing it into a command line.
The stub document was launched in Notepad, so the path checks out. The share is shared with "Everyone" and the Grooper service is running as a local administrator.

This is generally used with the XML transform activity, which lets you specify a name for the XML file post-transform. You could also use this to output, e.g., the layoutdata.json or the batchobject.characterdata.txt for each document.
To see what files are attached to a node, select that node in the node tree browser, go to the "advanced" tab, and then go to the "files" tab.5
